
Lawlors Strand
The most popular spot in the village, this beach is easily accessible via a short slipway. This is where you will meet the Dunmore East Swim Club who have a Members Time every Saturday at 09.30 to 10.30 and everyone, including visitors is welcome. There is no beach at high-tide. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer months.


Councillors Beach
This south-facing beach is great for catching the evening sun. Joins Lawlors strand at low-tide. Located at the bottom of a long ramp below a large car park.


Ladies Cove
A small stoney beach located around the corner from the busier Lawlors Strand . Accessible via a long ramp with steps (located below the castle ruins).


Mens Cove
One of two rocky shoreline swim spots located in the park, this swim spot if located down steps and is overlooked by a kittiwake colony.


Badgers Cove
One of two rocky shoreline swim spots located in the park, this swim spot if located down steep steps. A small beach is available at low tide and offshore pontoon.


Stoney Cove
Located beside Dunmore East Adventure Centre and harbour, this small cove is best swam at high-tide.


Portally
A beautiful narrow inlet surrounded by cliffs. Best accessed on the cliff walk. Road access also exists but parking is extremely limited. Watch out for the resident seals.


Rathmoylan
Another stop on the cliff walk, this sandy beach in a rocky cove is a joy to swim in - best at low tide. Also accessible by car.


Ballymacaw
A form coastguard station, this picturesque cove has a sandy beach on the cliff walk is wonderful for a dip. Also accessible by car.


Woodstown
Almost a mile long, this shell strewn sandy beach has a rich history. It has suitable waters for bathing when the tide is in. It is a great beach to walk.


Fornaught
A secluded bay between wooded Knockaveelish and Creadan Head, where swimming is good at full tide.


Saleens (Avoid - no swimming!)
Swimming is not advised due to very strong currents. This sandy beach looks across a narrow swift-flowing sound to Tramore Strand.
