Season Starts September 1 2025 – Please Renew Early!

The DESC membership year begins on September 1, in line with Swim Ireland. If you're already a member, renewal is quick and easy. Renewals are already open at Dunmore East Swim Club - Join the club, so feel free to renew now and help us save on admin costs!

For the 2025–2026 season, we’ve made a small and we hope reasonable adjustment to the Under 65 years membership fee:

• Adult Membership (up to age 64): €60
  (Swim Ireland increased their club fee in 2024 and again this year.)

• Adult Membership (65 and over): remains at €30

If you wish to compete nationally with the Club, please contact [email protected] to upgrade your membership. We understand this applies to only a few members.

What You Get for Your DESC Membership

Here’s how your membership fee is used:

• €60 Adult Fee: €33 goes to Swim Ireland; €27 supports DESC.

• €30 Senior Fee: Entire amount supports DESC (You are a Swim Ireland member but they don’t charge you!).

Your membership includes:

• Insurance: Coverage through Swim Ireland for all Club activities, including Saturday Members’ Time (yes, it counts as training!).

• Priority Access to Social Events: Often subsidised. Regular favourites include the September BBQ and the Big Christmas Breakfast.

• Designated Swim Time: Saturday sessions combine serious swimming with socialising and refreshments.

• Subsidised Swim Classes: Summer sea sessions and winter pool training.

• Guest Swim Clinics: For beginners and advanced swimmers.

• Free DESC Swim Hat: (Value €8) for new members.

• Community Impact: Support for year-round sea swimming and advocacy for improved swim infrastructure.
